About This Tour

Driving up to Kafountine takes around 2 hours on which we will cross the border with Senegal. It's 85km from kotu to kafuntine.

We will stay in a very nice hotel located near the sea.

Kafountine is one of the major fishing ports in Senegal. It's located in the lower casamance and open wide to the Atlantic Ocean. It's the chief town of the kafuntine rural community. The population of the village lives mainly by fishing,rice cultivation and tourism. Tourism has developers quite quickly thanks to the beaches along casuarinas and the many resorts that have been built. Kafuntine is a fishing village having more than two hundred canoes installed on the beaches with about 3000,to 4000 people's working there everyday. You will also discover the techniques of drying and smoking fish in Senegal. Excursion by boat to kailo Island through a thick mangroves forming an inextricable labyrinth will be proposed to you with the goal of discovering the African amazom. The village is endowed with a wild beach in the heart of a lush bush that stretches out of sights and is composed of a palm forest surrounded by a natural lakes.
